Mechanical Inspector
Aerotek Environmental is currently recruiting a Mechanical Inspector to support the Arlington County Water Pollution Control Project - the largest wastewater treatment project in Virginia.
Mechanical inspector job description: -participate in coordination, scheduling, quality, safety and progress review meetings; -perform quality surveillances and audits to assure contractor compliance with contract and design documents; -verify and witness final acceptance testing of process components and systems; -prepare punch lists, document non-conforming work; monitor corrective work; -document and red-line construction changes; monitor contractor safety practices. This person will manager 2 other inspectors and also perform inspection.
Candidate must have at least 5-8 years on-site construction experience.
requirements : background in process systems, ie water,waste water, Petroleum, energy plant, etc. (anything that there is a flow of a product through boiler/generator to pipes/pumps. Background can include pipefitting and installation of rotating equipment. Steamfitter, pipe fitter and millwright journeymen interested in performing inspections of fluid pumping and piping systems.
