Senior Project Coordinator
Our client, a leader in the construction industry, is currently seeking a senior project coordinator to join their Toronto location. This candidate must have a minimum of 3 years experience in the commercial and/or industrial construction sector.
Assisting the project manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for project profitability, and other duties including:
- Provide administrative support to the project team
- Negotiate subcontracts and PO's; pricing of change notices
- Approve material invoices
- Interaction with consultants, subcontractors, local authorities, estimators, company accountants, safety representatives, general public, and other people involved in the project
- Overseeing other project coordinators, onsite hourly staff, and administrative assistants
- Approve subcontractor applications as required
- Log, review, and process all shop drawings, site instructions, and change notices
- Work with accounting team to ensure accurateness of project accounting
- Various project closing duties, including archiving documents, maintenance and warranty manuals, warranty work, and deficiencies
Job qualifications:
- At least 3 years experience in the commercial and/or industrial construction industry
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent time management and organization
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
