Senior Project Coordinator
**This position is a one year contract in Windsor, Ontario. There is the opportunity to go permanent with the company after the project completion, and be based out of the Toronto office. The successful candidate will be required to work at the Windsor site for the duration of the project, 10-12 months. The company will assist in relocation fees and accommodations.
Our client, a leader in the construction industry, is currently seeking a senior project coordinator for a $9 million construction project in Windsor, Ontario. This candidate must have a minimum of 3 years experience in the commercial and/or industrial construction sector.
Assisting the project manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for project profitability, and other duties including:
- Provide administrative support to the project team - Negotiate subcontracts and PO's; pricing of change notices - Approve material invoices - Interaction with consultants, subcontractors, local authorities, estimators, company accountants, safety representatives, general public, and other people involved in the project - Overseeing other project coordinators, onsite hourly staff, and administrative assistants - Approve subcontractor applications as required - Log, review, and process all shop drawings, site instructions, and change notices - Work with accounting team to ensure accurateness of project accounting - Various project closing duties, including archiving documents, maintenance and warranty manuals, warranty work, and deficiencies
Job qualifications:
- At least 3 years experience in the commercial and/or industrial construction industry - Strong communication skills - Excellent time management and organization - Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Assisting the project manager and the site superintendent, the senior project coordinator will be involved in managing an office/warehouse construction project worth $9 million. Located in Windsor, the project will last approximately 10-12 months. There is the opportunity to relocate to the Toronto area after the project completion, and work permanently out of the Toronto office.
