Design/Build Project Manager
Aerotek is currently hiring for the position of a Design/Build Project Manager for our client located in Upper Marlboro, MD.
Our client has been providing expert mechanical construction services for over 40 years. They are seeking a design/build manger that will be responsible for both the designing aspects of a job as well as working as a PM.
Requirements:
-Qualified candidates should have a Mechanical Engineering background, as well as experience working in the construction industry.
-Prefer a Mechanical PE who has 10 years of experience.
-Candidates should be very “Technical” and have real world experience.
-Knowledge of AutoCAD and Estimating software.
Responsibilities:
-Will be working on projects from the initial estimating, through the design to the actual installations.
-The amount of Design vs. PM work will be determined by the current work loads.
-Work on projects ranging from $.5 million to $3 million
-Submittals and O&M Manuals: Data Collection, Organization, Verification & Dissemination
-Solicit Vendors & Subcontractors for Pricing
-Prepare Change Order Pricing for Projects Under Construction
-Coordinate RFIs for both our Company & Subcontractors with the General Contractor
-Progress Meetings with Owners/GCs to Appraise Performance & Determine Project Status
-Prepare/Distribute Progress Meeting Minutes
-Coordinate Technical Proposals for Project Pre-Qualification Packages
-Form/Document Development & Implementation
-Perform Purchasing Duties to Buy-Out Equipment & Subcontractors for Newly-Awarded Projects
-Complete Applications & Pull Plumbing & Mechanical Permits in MD, DC, & VA
-Project Close-Out including As-Built Drawings
-Deliver Bids for Estimating Department
-Attend Pre-Bid Walk-thru meetings
-Other duties as assigned by the President, Vice Presidents, CFO, and Project Managers
-Hours: 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM Mon-Thurs, 6:30 AM to 4:00 PM Fri.
