Senior Scheduler / Construction Job Description:

A large retail property group in Los Angeles is seeking a Project Controls Engineer / Senior Scheduler with a variety of commercial project experience including retail stores, regional malls, and department stores in the $10M and higher range. (Preferably Mega-Projects). This position will be working out of their office in Los Angeles.

QUALIFICATIONS:

-Minimum of 5 years experience in the construction field working with a GC, owner developer, or scheduling firm
-Experience must include completing projects in a Design/Build environment as opposed to just projects performed as a GC
-Commercial project experience
-Preferably has experience with mega-projects.
-4 year college degree. Preferred majors: Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or similar.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Keeping projects on schedule during their design and construction phases
-Produce reliable, credible, and accurate project schedules that are used by the team for decision-making
-The Project Controls Engineer chairs weekly meetings of project teams that include representatives of Development, Design, Construction, Mall Management, Leasing, and Tenant Coordination.
-Develops the agendas and minutes of these meetings.
-Travel to US locations will be necessary for team meetings
-Can be expected to require working extended hours to fulfill responsibilities
