Estimator / Public Works
We are currently seeking a Senior Estimator with public works experience to work with a growing company in the Los Angeles area that works on a diverse range of public, government and commercial projects ranging from hotels to resorts, from simple retail establishments to elegant restaurants and commercial / medical facilities.
Qualifications:
- Self-motivated
- 8 Years Minimum Local Experience working with a GC
- Strong communication skills
- Strong Computer Skills (Knowledge of Estimating Software such as Timberline/digitizer, I Square Feet a plus); Should know Excel
- Able to work on multiple Public Works projects including modernization and new construction (Classrooms, Golf Course, Gymnasium, Theatre)
- Knowledgeable with all divisions of plans and specs and Project Planning
- Construction related Bachelor Degree preferred
- Leadership; will ultimately be managing a department
- Be able to carry through with responsibilities until completion; able to juggle several assignments at once
- Will be bidding on new projects
- Would like candidates that have an established network/resources/estimating database
- Will be working 100% out of the office in LA, but attending job walks for bidding purposes.
**Salary is negotiable and based on experience.
