Senior Construction Project Manager
National General Contractor focused on providing Program, Project and Construction Management seeking Sr. Project Manager
construction phase services on a medium (approximately $10M - $40M construction cost) project. Directs the project team in ensuring construction quality, schedule, and cost performance, or monitoring thereof in agency roles. Provides leadership and coaching to project team. Leads meetings and resolves conflicts. Monitors financial performance of the project, managing resources and assisting the supervisor in negotiating change orders as necessary to maintain client satisfaction and profitability.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
1. Responsible to management and the client for day-to-day performance of the project team.
a. Projects professional image as the company?s on-site representative and principal point of contact with the client and contractors.
b. Makes project decisions and develops and implements action plans with minimal guidance from the supervisor.
c. Keeps management and client management informed on project status and deliverables.
d. Uses independent thinking to develop action plans not addressed by established company procedures.
e. Guides subordinates in the implementation of established company procedures.
PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS
1. Solid performance with design management, change order estimating and construction costs.
2. Demonstrates ability to use spreadsheets, other computing tools, word processors and e-mail in order to organize and present costs and other information.
3. Thorough understanding of CPM scheduling.
4. Demonstrated knowledge in design phase constructability reviews and of construction quality requirements, coordination and inspecting.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: BS in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Has mastered the skills and abilities necessary to perform the Project Manager I/Resident Engineer position.
Proficient in a Windows-based computer environment and with Microsoft Office Suite programs including Outlook, Word and Excel.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 8 years of experience in progressively responsible Project Management roles.
SKILLS/ABILITIES: Strong customer service skills and willingness to assist others.
Able to communicate complex information clearly.
Attentive to detail.
Strong problem-solving abilities.
Able to coordinate well with other departments and personnel.
