Project Manager
Our client is an industry-leading company that offers general contracting, project management, design-build and construction services from offices across Canada and the Central and Pacific Northwestern United States. They currently have an immediate need for a PROJECT MANAGER in Calgary. Responsibilities will include the management of construction projects from initial stages right through till completion (pre-planning, through bid, tender, construction and commissioning stages). The size and type of construction projects will depend on the experience level and background of the successful candidate and available projects.
To be qualified for this position, individuals should have a minimum of at least 15 years experience in:
-Developing project requirements, cost estimates, project plans and budgets within the construction industry (preferably on large multi-million dollar commercial/institutional projects)
-Successful completion of a degree or technology program in Civil, or Structural Engineering
-Assist in the negotiations and awarding of contracts
-Monitor, control, and report on progress (costs and budget throughout the project)
-Resolve disputes, negotiate change orders, communicate decisions to owners, subcontractors and management personnel
-Select key personnel and subcontractors for the project
